The first Edition of "Heart Failure in Pediatric Patients": An Textbook of Pediatric Heart Failure, serves as the core of a learning tool designed to help cardiologists, pediatricians, pediatric nurses and students at all levels, from trainees to highly specialized practitioners, confront the challenge of staying abreast of this evolving field.

The field of heart failure in pediatric populations has perhaps recently initiated more registries and clinical trials than previously. This age group has special concerns and particularities regarding their clinical picture and management. Therefore, multiple disciplines have been involved in the management of heart failure in this age group.

In this edition, we tried to answer all the questions concerning this field, and be up-to-date in all our resources.

We displayed different modes of imaging diagnosis for heart failure then concentrated on one of the most important investigations as myocardial biopsy.

In this book, we described the detailed radiological and imaging investigations for heart failure in general; however we spoke about the investigation of certain pediatric and congenital heart disease within their chapters. This attittude was decided to broaden the scope of target audience and help the readers to discover all about the field of heart failure investigations.

We described one of the most important pathological types of heart failure; hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. We put this topic in a separate chapter due to its special importance.
