Published/reproduced material should not be included unless written permission has been observed from the copyright holder, which should be forwarded to the Editorial Office in case of acceptance of the Book/chapter for publication.
For obtaining permission for reproducing any material published in an Book by BSP, the request FORM should be filled in and sent to books@benthamscience.net for consideration.
Editors/Authors who publish in Bentham Books will transfer copyright to their work to BSP. Authors, who choose to have their work published as open access in Bentham Book, retain exclusive copyright to their work. Submission of an Book/chapter implies that all editors/authors have read and agreed to the content of the Copyright Letter (Terms and Conditions) and Publishing agreement. It is a condition of publication that Books/chapters submitted to Bentham Books have not been published and will not be simultaneously submitted or published elsewhere. Plagiarism is strictly forbidden, and by submitting the Book/chapter for publication the editors/authors agree that the publishers have the legal right to take appropriate action against the editors/authors, if plagiarism or fabricated information is discovered. Once the Book/Chapter is submitted to the publisher, it cannot be withdrawn at any stage prior to its publication.
BSP uses the iThenticate software to detect instances of overlapping and similar text in submitted chapters. iThenticate software checks content uploaded by the editorial office against a database of periodicals, the Internet, and a comprehensive database. It generates a similarity report, including the percentage overlap between the uploaded chapters and published material. Any instances of content overlap are treated according to an Book peer review integrity statement and the policies recommended by the editorial Committee. The publishers assure to be committed to actively combating plagiarism and publishing original research.
