Aim

The proper exploration of marine resources might potentially lead to novel bioactive compounds that can lead to breakthrough therapies against various human ailments. Till date, several compounds from marine environment are at different developmental stages and evidenced marine natural products as a source of a novel drug candidate. Moreover, a growing number of compounds from marine sources are entering clinical trials and thus, the impact of this field on the medical industry is also increasing. Hence, the aim of this book is to cover the in-depth knowledge of natural products identified from various marine environments as novel antimicrobial agents.
