Numerous treatments and devices have been introduced into the armamentarium to treat disorders and diseases in women. Due to rapid advances in new technologies, clinicians and researchers are not always updated with their knowledge. Indeed, there are many new technologies in women's health, I have identified many new technologies in women's health. These include robotic surgery, new imaging technologies, novel treatment of uterine fibroid including MR guided focused ultrasound, image capturing, virtual reality and many others. The first e-book in this series is Robotic Surgery in Gynecology and the guest editor is Dr. Arnold Advincula. Dr. Advincula is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and a pioneer in Robotic Surgery. The contributors are experts in advanced laparoscopy surgery and robotic surgery. Each chapter contains many illustrations by line drawing, photographs and surgical technique which is illustrated step by step. As the technique is relatively new, we allow overlapping of the chapters allowing the readers to learn different techniques from the experts.
